💰 Salary: £32,680 (including sleep-in payments)

Hours: 42 hours per week (two days on, three days off, on a five-week rolling rota)


About the Role:
We’re expanding our team and looking for a dedicated Senior Residential Support Worker to play a key role in one of our new children’s homes. Working closely with the Deputy Care Manager, you’ll help build a strong care team and provide high-quality support for up to two children, ensuring they thrive in a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide consistent, compassionate, and resilient care, meeting the emotional and physical needs of children.
  • Act as a Key Worker, supporting children’s care plans and well-being.
  • Lead shifts, ensuring smooth daily operations and effective teamwork.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with external agencies and stakeholders.
  • Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and child protection at all times.
  • Maintain accurate care records and documentation.
  • Advocate for children during meetings, reviews, and key decision-making processes.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a residential childcare setting (within the last 5 years).
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and the inspection process.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • Emotional resilience and experience supporting children with challenging behaviours.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
